Sixth Sense Buy-In (Win Support From Anyone)

For project managers and others who facilitate change, gaining real buy-in from team members can be challenging. Getting team members emotionally committed and mentally focused on the initiative is critical to project success. Project leaders can use specific skills to ensure meaningful interactions with team members. Meaningful interactions are the foundation for developing team Buy- In. This interactive seminar will help develop these skills, so that participants can begin to apply them immediately.

Step 1: Include
How can you get people to share a common, meaningful purpose? The team members must first feel like they are included and important, before they will be committed. Learn skills and methods for making people feel part of the team. You will understand the value of relationships in team settings and methods/ techniques for managing group dynamics.

Step 2: Observe
As a team leader, you can learn much from observing and reading behaviors and non-verbal communications of people on the team. You will learn what to look for, how to interpret and how to use the information to keep the individuals and team at optimal performance levels.

Step 3: Respond
The project manager/ team leader must be confident in her/ his ability to respond to any of possible project situation. A PMP will teach you to use all the skills and techniques covered to avoid potential roadblocks, improve communication and complete the buy-in cycle.
