Certification training is grueling!  But, dozens of hours of personnel time dedicated to considering and reconsidering the best available information and practices in project management help trainees in their day jobs.  Trainees literally walk in to class with years of project management experience under their belt ready to take the next step in the profession.  Giving up many weekends or evenings in this pursuit supports the noble cause of self actualization as well as career advancement.
