I am not currently a member of PMI but would like to join. What do I do?

Visit the official PMI Web site at (www.pmi.org). From there you can join PMI online or request an application: www.pmi.org/GetInvolved/Pages/Why-Join-PMI.aspx.

I am a current PMI member and would like to join the Southwest Ohio Chapter of PMI, what do I do?
If you do not currently belong to a chapter, if you want to change chapters, or if you want to add a chapter (you can belong to multiple chapter if you wish, contact the PMI Customer Service Department at 610.356.4600 or email Customer Service at pmihq@pmi.org. Please be sure to include your PMI membership number and the name of the Chapter you wish to join. (Our Chapter is Southwest Ohio Chapter 043). 

Note: If your PMI membership is less than 3 months away from annual renewal, you should wait and make the request at the same time you renew to save the chapter fee.

I am not receiving newsletters or the notices of meetings that are sent out via US mail. How can I ensure that my information is correct on the PMI Southwest Ohio Chapter mailing list?
The PMI Southwest Ohio chapter mailings are delivered to the preferred address specified by you on your application. Changes to your address, company, phone, email, etc. can be made online by accessing the PMI Web site at www.pmi.org/MyPMI/Pages/Default.aspx. If you have misplaced or forgotten your password, contact PMI’s Customer Service Department at pmihq@pmi.org or call 610.356.4600 (select option 8).

Can I renew my PMI membership online?
Yes. Just go to www.pmi.org/Marketplace/Pages/default.aspx?Category=MembershipIndividual to renew your membership.

How do I become certified as a PMP?

PMP certification requires experience as a Project Manager, as well as a written test. Our Chapter offers a PMP certification review class. For additional information, see PMI’s PMP certification www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages/PMICredentialOverview.aspx.

How do I maintain my certification (recertification)?

Where can I get directions to the meeting locations?

Information about all meetings, including directions, is posted on this site on the Events page: www.pmi-swohio-chapter.org/calendar.shtml. Click on the specific meeting listed by date to get directions to a meeting. If you need additional help contact webmaster@pmi-swohio-chapter.org.
